We are a non-profit association with more than 60 organizations with the common mission of promoting the development of sustainable livestock in Brazil.

We bring together representatives of the sector and provide opportunities for dialogue between all links of the chain, in a system in which everyone is heard and participates equally.

INTERNATIONAL REFERENCE

Our structured initiative fostered the inspired the creation of other roundtables. Today there are 12 roundtables around the world, in addition to the Global Roundtable for Sustainable Beef, from which we are active members.

Our mission is to foster the development of sustainable livestock through chain articulation, continuous improvement and information dissemination.

OUR VISION

To be the voice of sustainable livestock in Brazil to the world by discussing emerging issues, taking solid positions and sharing knowledge. To connect the links in the chain and encourage stakeholders to make commitments and deliver concrete results. To prepare the most thorough cattle ranching sustainability database and show that Brazil has the greatest global potential to produce beef sustainably.

Together with the associate members, we signed a PUBLIC COMMITMENT in favor of sustainable livestock. In addition to reinforcing the potential for conservation of the activity in Brazil and committing to it, we intend to encourage the various stakeholders of the chain to join efforts in this regard.

PRESIDENT

SERGIO SCHULER

Master in Biotechnology and in Business Administration, has more than 20 years of international experience as a Senior Executive in important management positions and has a long history of business turnarounds, solid financial background and great expertise in sales and marketing. Between 2005 and 2018, Sergio took on several management roles with increasing responsibilities at Bayer and was named Head of Animal Health for Latin America in his last year at the company. In November 2020, joined as Vice President of the Animal Nutrition and Health for Ruminants business at DSM.

VICE PRESIDENT

João Schimansky Netto

He has been operating in the beef market for over 15 years. Since 2012, he has been purchasing manager for South America at Swedish retail Norvida A.B. Previously, he worked at JBS as a trader and on the Pricing and Sales Management Board for the European continent.

He has also worked at Bertin, where he was responsible for meat sales and new products development. At Marfrig, he was the quality assurance coordinator. He is gratuated in Business Administration from UniSALESIANO in Lins, in the state of São Paulo.

TREASURER

ALINE AGUIAR

Rabobank Brasil’s Social and Environmental Risk Team Leader, where she works since 2013 and is responsible for monitoring the social and environmental risk of the bank’s clients, with a focus on mitigating clients’ credit, reputation and legal risks, as well as the development and maintenance of assessment tools and customer monitoring. Aline has a degree in Environmental Engineering at UNESP, a postgraduate degree in Environmental Management at ESALQ-USP and an MBA in Agribusiness Management at FGV-SP. Prior to Rabobank, she worked in the sustainability area at the companies Copersucar and JBS.

COORDINATION

LUIZA BRUSCATO

BSc and Environmental Engineer graduated from UFABC – Federal University of ABC, Luiza Bruscato has worked for most of her career with sustainability projects, adding fifteen years of experience in the public, private and third sector. Of these, for five years she was responsible for education projects for sustainability at BASF / FEE – Espaço ECO Foundation, serving agribusiness clients, especially large cooperatives. Since 2017, she has been dedicated to the spread of good practices in livestock. At Athenagro Consulting, she coordinated three editions of the Livestock Rally, the last in 2019. Three years ago, she assumed the position of Executive Director at GTPS, the Brazilian Roundtable on Sustainable Livestock, in which he has worked with the main leaders of the meat, leather and dairy production chain and the largest producers, input and service companies, industry, retail and NGOs in the search for solutions for the sustainable development of livestock. She is also a visiting professor at IPOG’s Agribusiness Management MBA.
